Hush sent order to my old address - my rights??

Okay, my fault kinda, because I didn't notice the delivery address (how thick am I), spent 300 quid on lovely stuff that was to be returned cos I'm skint and so it goes to my old address from 2009. I paid by credit card (registered at my new address) so surely it would have failed a verification check somewhere within Hush? Hush say not their fault blah blah - I will try and get in touch with the people that have moved in, but it's looking unlikely. Credit card pursue with them? Or continue with Hush? Or have I just lost 300 sodden quid? [idiot face]

Sorry, but I don't think you can blame the company for this. Plenty of places deliver to addresses that aren't the cardholder's address - they were just following your instructions.

The people who receive the package legally have to return it though as it won't be addressed to them. Do live close enough to put a note through the front door? If not, you'll have to write to them, but as far as I can see, this is between you and them now....

Oh balls. They're about an hour away...she was nice, he was a bit scary...

I would pursue with Hush and the people at your old address.

If you have no joy, your credit card company could possibly put in a claim to get the money back. There is a chargeback claim for 'did not receive' goods.

Has the order been delivered? This has happened a couple of times to me (my shipping and delivery addresses are permanently different, but some companies, NAP in particular, seem to have a glitch somewhere in their system that overrides what I specify and delivers to my billing address abroad - ASOS did this to me last month). If the package cannot be delivered, I call DHL or the postal service (you need to have a tracking #) and the package is autoreturned to the sender. Problem solved... Good luck!

Hush told me it had been delivered but I haven't checked with sorting office myself, job for first thing. Dh thinks I'm an arse and can't understand how it happens, I haven't told him it's 300 quid yet, he'll be a trifle shocked Shock thanks ladies

I really think you need to take responsibility for this. How is it Hush's fault you didn't notice that it was your old address on their system? I send stuff to different addresses from my credit card billing address all the time.
