Can you re-sole Dr Martens?

I have some lovely DMs which are showing signs of wear on the soles, mostly on the heels. Does anyone know if it is possible to get Dr Martens re-soled? A quick google search suggests Timpson may be able to do this.

If someone here has re-soled their DMs, how did it go? Are you happy with them?

The DM shop in Covent Garden will be able to send them off for you. It can be dome as they do sell 'boots for life' which are more expensive but then will be repaired for ever free of charge.

Whether this is cost effective for an existing pair i really couldn't say. New DMs start at 90.

Thanks for your reply. The boots I would like to get re-soled are no longer being made by Dr Martens so purchasing new boots is sadly not an option.

I have sent an email to Dr Martens to see if they offer a service to re-sole boots.

I will be interested to hear the reply.

I bought new ones recently but would get the old ones re-done if it was economically viable.
