Flat knee length boots

Am looking for a pair of knee length flat boots to wear with everything, budget around £50. I have large feet (UK size 8, european 41-42, depending on width). Has anybody seen anything like this that might fit the bill? I'd love to go and have a wander in town for them but with 4 year old and 6 month old there doesn't seem to be much opportunity. The budget probably restricts things a bit as well. All suggestions gratefully received.

Am feeling like a freak... 5ft 8in tall, size 10 (all good), but with BLOODY MASSIVE TREE TRUNK CALVES ARRRRGH.

i am also 5 8 (not a size 10 yet though). have never thought of my calves as massive ever and have worn wellies and riding boots with no problems!

I remember in primary school at netball one girl said, completely shocked ' look at the size of your calves!' and then in secondary, a boy called me tree trunk legs! I have carried these things with me all my life.......

i had skinny calves until I took up cycling they are now horrid and big

Enid - I wear wellies a lot with no probs. Riding boots became very tight a few years ago, so swapped em for joddie boots.
