1920s afternoon/tea dress - inspiration needed

I am going to a themed event at the week-end and need to put together an outfit which works as a 1920's afternoon dress.

I've got a black velvet dress which could do as an evening dress but would look out of place as an afternoon outfit.

Any ideas what I should be looking for to cobble together an outfit?

You need seething with a drop waist or a long top and long skirt. I 'd go for pastels - try the charity shops!

It's all about having a straight silhouette
