What kind of winter shoes....

...go with wide trousers?

Am a skirt girl, really, but like wide trousers for preggo wear.

Please help.

Lived in wide trousers when i was pregnant, oooo, they were lovely, big stretchy ones with a huge fold over waistband - I'd wear them now if I could get away with it! Anyway, back to the question. . . .I wore mine with either flat square toed shoes with a buckle on the front (if you can picture what I mean!) or with a pair of pointy toed kitten heels - I found I could do kitten heels when prg but not much higher!

i imagine, what with being up the duff, my colour choices will be limited to black, maybe brown if i really search it out. never sure about trainers with black. would ballet pumps look ok? i am tall-ish 5'8". my mum said ankle boots, and that i have had a discussion about clothes with my MOTHER proves how low my confidence has sunk on sartorial issues.....

I am not a style type person, but please don't wear ankle boots with maternity wide leg trousers!

With regard to colour...you may even find them in navy too!

Agree ballet pumps, funky trainers etc

I haven't had a pair of ankle boots since I was 14 and had red pixie boots during a durannie/mini goth phase, and was not really planning to start again! but trainers and ballet shoes are not much good in the rain are they?

argh this winter pregnancy is going to present a million style challenges.

Trainers are my winter shoes...even in the rain...i just get wet feet!!!!

mazzystar I LIVED in wide black trousers and ballet pumps lsat winter when pg (had bronze ones and black ones)

Just be warned that feet can 'grow' when you are pg, so you may not want to splash out on something expensive. Dh bought me a new pair of trainers when I was pg. I tried them on again a few weeks after I'd had ds - and they were too big . £40+ down the drain.

I've just had the opposite experience Mercy, today I tried on a pair of shoes that I grew out of during pregnancy and they fit beautifully now .
