When it's not cold enough for a wooly hat but not hot enough for a sun hat / no hat ?

Do those stretchy cotton hats come in toddler size? My DS is rocking a 6-12m sized one now.

The only "stretchy cotton hat" a toddler is going to wear is a pair of pants. Bet he would keep them on, and you could blame the headgear on him! Grin

smable · 24/03/2014 18:54

Polarn o pyret do the stretchy cotton hats in big sizes.

Chewbecca · 24/03/2014 19:09

Nothing?

CamillaCamellia · 24/03/2014 19:12

I put on a coat with a hood or a jumper with a hood. Keeps them warm outdoors.

herecomesthsun · 24/03/2014 19:13

DD has a hooded coat, a hooded raincoat and a fleecy hat from jojomamanbebe. The hoods work well in case of wet or blowy spring days.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 24/03/2014 19:15

Hood of their coat or cardi if there's a stiff breeze and nothing if there isn't. It was bad enough trying to keep a hat on her in the winter.

bonzo77 · 24/03/2014 19:29

No hat. DS2 has very fine curls. No hat most of the winter, none at all recently. Maybe the hood up on his hoodie.

Dancergirl · 24/03/2014 20:01

Ermm, nothing. Why would you??

CoolaSchmoola · 24/03/2014 20:11

Not cold enough for a wooly hat, not warm enough for a sunhat?

It's obvious - not too cold/not too hot = no hat!

mewkins · 24/03/2014 20:25

Dd wears a straw trilby. She loves it and would wear it all year if I let her. H and m often have very cool kids' hats.

PastaandCheese · 24/03/2014 20:38

I just make sure she has a hood as others have said.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 24/03/2014 20:39

No hat.

Mine generally have either a coat or a jacket with a hood, so they are ok if it rains or suddenly gets colder.

MyNameIsSuz · 24/03/2014 20:42

Mine's generally got nothing on his bonce at the moment, but if you're looking for stretchy cotton hats up to age 2 we got a couple of nice ones from Funky Giraffe. I agree with everyone else that a hat's probably not necessary, but we've been using them when we go to the seafront because it's super windy and makes his ears hurt.

This kind of thing: funkygiraffebibs.co.uk/back-to-navy-493
though this is pretty badass: funkygiraffebibs.co.uk/striped-hat-292

Artandco · 24/03/2014 20:44

Trilby
Flat cap
Pixi style crochet hat

Nocomet · 24/03/2014 21:24

I had total hat refusnicks, DD would wear a sun hat for 5 minutes, DD2 0.5 seconds.

Of course as a teen DD2 wears a wooly hat on all sorts of weird times.
