I have decided a change is needed, starting today! I am going out for lunch with a friend, does this look ok as an outfit? I have been wearing jeans and t-shirts for too long, so don't feel confident in anything else really..
Any advice welcome! Oh sorry for the rubbish pic .. I haven't got a full length mirror.

Same here I only ever wear jeans it's terrible!
I'd say the outfit looks good but maybe the top is a little loose do you have anything more fitted, although I now that is kind of the style at the moment.

I originally had a fitted t-shirt on, I'm just worried about looking too much like office wear iyswim? I am a real casual dresser so don't like to look too done up, probably why I've been in jeans for so long!

I would say tuck the top in (and possibly add a belt) as the hemline crosses you at the widest part of your body and accentuates it.

That's my usual casual style, btw. I have a similar skirt in grey and it is so comfy I love it!

I agree with the comments above - you need a more fitted top and maybe add a loose scarf? I really like the skirt and pumps combo. If you are in the market for more tube skirts, Whistles do some great ones, along with soft jersey Lena blazer:

They are pricey I admit, but I'm sure you could find high street copies for less cash.

Thanks for the replies, the whistles ones look great but a bit pricey for me. I got mine from Matalan after reading about it on here, it's has a nice thick double layer and looks quite flattering, it was only about £10 I think.
What you you think to a fitted vest top with a cardigan over (short, fine knit and unbuttoned)? I have a few cardi's in various colours..
