How do you judge peoples ages?

How good are you at judging people's ages? and how old do you think you look?

I got told the other day that I was 25!!! (brilliant) but then worried that maybe I just looked too scruffy and studnety to be any older?

I am terrible at judging ages and it was very embarrassing at work when someone said but i'm not that much odler than you and your DH and I said without thinking - oh yes you're the same age as DH but he's MUCH older than me - 12 years(cringe) turns out she was only 3 yrs older than me!

I am useless at judging ages, although am always pleasantly suprised when people put me in my early twenties when I am 31

I'm 24 but dumbledoresgirl has seen a photo of me and said I look 15!!

DumbledoresGirl · 15/08/2006 14:20

Ah but WB, I didn't show the pic of me which someone else saw and said I looked about 25!

DumbledoresGirl · 15/08/2006 14:20

(I am 41)

I'm rubbish at judging ages too, but so are lots of people - for years people have thought me older than I actually am, esp on the phone and online, because I am bossy and authoritative... I mean because I exude wisdom and confidence

Ah yes but it can be awkward when you go for job interviews and they look at you as if to say - you can't possibly be old enough to have done all this (I skipped Uni and worked alongside A levels and an OU degree so have 14 years of work experience).

Am not back at guessing peoples ages, you can roughly tell by the neck and back of hands.

I am always getting told I look 16 and being asked for ID - every bloody time!!!

CheesyFeet · 17/08/2006 14:54

I'm not sure you could tell my age by looking at my neck Tamba, it's covered in acne so that would make me about 15
