Will a keratin treatment improve the condition of my bleach ravaged hair?

My hair is short (longest at the front which sweeps across my forehead to tuck behind my ear).

Its naturally v dark but bleached to a light blonde, the conditions not great and it breaks a lot and so i have lots of sticky up bits where parts are growing back and generally its quite frizzy.

My hair is naturally straight but having read some of the keratin threads, i'm thinking that perhaps a keratin treatment might improve the condition and reduce the frizz, which nothing else seems to help with.

i am however terrified of running the straightener over it so many times, and worry that in itself might finish it off and damage it beyond repair.

Any comments or tips from people that have had similar damage or used the keratin treatment would be greatly appreciated, THANKS!!

Not sure, maybe try a clarifying shampoo first to make sure it is not silicone build up. This really helped with my dry frizzy hair. Then I went silicone free.

It doesn't transform it overnight but after a week or maybe two I really noticed a big difference, and my hair actually looked like proper swishy hair! Loads of threads on recommendations for silicone free shampoos on here. I now do the keratin treatment every three months, and that stops it frizzing up in heat/humidity/when it feels like it.

this is worth it's weight in gold. I recently went ultra white blonde after years of highlights. I left the salon with swishy hair but when I washed it myself a few days later with regular conditioner my hair looked wrecked. Two days later I used this beauty and have returned to swishy hair.

It says to leave on for 5-10 mins. I left it on for 30, and kept my wrapped my hair in a towel for the duration. My plan is to try 5 minutes for routine hair wash & 20-30 mins once a week.

was just about to recommend Kerastase mask - or Wella SP conditioning mask or Morrocan oil mask. All work and vary in price.

I have blond hair (chemically enhanced) - and it needs some TLC. I use morrocon oil when drying and styling this helps give swishy hair. Although I have tried other cheaper oils - Argan from Primark £1 works just the same!

I use the Keratin Kits straightening treatment and overall, I'm happy with it.

I was also worried about going over my hair 7 times with the GHD's, but it's the heat that locks in the treatment..........apparently

I would say it's more of a smoothing treatment, rather than a straightening one, which was fine for me, as I didn't want poker straight hair.

Styling time has been massively reduced. It used to take me over an hour to dry and straighten my hair before, whereas now, I hardly ever straighten it and it blow dries in about 10 minutes.

There are a few things I don't like about this treatment though. My hair gets greasy more quickly, especially in the first couple of weeks after doing the treatment. It feels a little flat initially and the worst thing for me is actually doing the treatment. It's not the time it takes (3 hours cos I've got very long, very thick hair) it's more the overwhelming, chemical smell. It stings my eyes and I don't like breathing it in. Doesn't feel like it's doing me any good.

I haven't done the treatment for about 4 1/2 months and I'm trying to hold off as long as possible, as it does feel quite harsh when you use it. I think I'll buy some kind of face mask for next time, so I don't have to breathe it in.

Oh and also, before you do the treatment, make sure you have a trim to tidy up the ends. If you have really sparse, dry ends, these will be more exposed and obvious after the treatment.
