I went upstairs at 10 pm to decide what to wear and OH F**K! I have no suits, well except those with nearly knee length jkts that are sooooo wrong!! I have miss matching black separates, but in natural light they will look odd!!

I have just had to dash to ASDA and TESCO and buy any bog standard suit!!! Not my usual sytle but at £40 you can't complain. I have spent the last 7-8 years wearing funky separates, I have loads of fab A line skirts, nice t-shirts and cardis, But these are NOT interview fodder for a job as a recruitment consultant. I can imagine recruitment bods are totally suited and booted, not what I am about. Oh c**p do I want the job??? If I have to wear a suit day in day out. This is major!! Can I see myself in a job where I cannot wear my sequin dorothy shoes to work???? Do I want this job???

Hmmm does fashion mean that much to me taht I would turn down a job with potential of earning £40K + just for sequin shoes???? HELP ME

Thank god for 24hr supermarkets eh? Good luck. and worry about the sequins once you've got the job!

Quootiepie · 15/08/2006 00:26

theunknownrebelbang · 15/08/2006 00:27

Tis too late for a serious debate lol.

you can still be smart and wear your dorothy shoes......surely!!??

I have dorothy shoes and I love them.....and I would wear them regardless

psychomum5 · 15/08/2006 00:31

altho mine are flats....can't do heals at the moment

Quootiepie · 15/08/2006 00:31

they are lovely...

theunknownrebelbang · 15/08/2006 00:32

Glorious.

I've seen a lower-heeled style in red, grey and a glorious teal/bluey colour. Was very tempted, but just know I wouldn't get the chance to wear them.

crunchie · 15/08/2006 00:34

Maybe I'll check out the dress code

I know I could do the job, but I was gutted at having to buy a boring black suit, even DH thought I looked a bit 'blah' and he knows NOTHING about fashion.

However I am wearing my 'blah' suit with a 4" wide red patent belt for the interview, I am convinced that ONE GOOD ACCESSORY works wonders and gives you personality

Take the job and subtly, gradually, sequin by sequin, bend the dress code rules until you and everyone else are a riot of fashionista glory?
