Tassel loafers? How to wear?

I've just bought these

as alternative to ballet pumps with jeans (straight and skinny). I got them in the brown but I'm just not sure. I'm 40 and worry that I look like a librarian in them. Maybe I should have gone for the darker colours but I want them for springtime.

How do you wear them? Help, please!

Perhaps with ankle skimmer jeans or cigarette pants, the shoes you have picked are georgeous by the way

Those are gorgeous. Tried them on today but sadly just too narrow for me. Was really disappointed. Will look good with skinny jeans, crops, cigarette pants etc.

They are lovely. I have a burgundy pair. Would like to wear them with skinny jeans, but not sure what to do re socks.

I love loafers but they are too classic for me and I feel they look dull on my feet - I think you have to think about what works for you, what look you are trying to create.
