What's the best facial you've had and why was it so good?

I was recently informed that some places (not spa, just salons) provide down duvets, warm towel etc for the ultimate experience. What would your ideal experience be ie. therapist not talk too much, asks about pressure of massage, music (or not) etc- what makes a good facial great?

And what would guarantee you'd never go back?

My ideal would be that the therapist explains what she's using and why. I hate it when they just plop something on and move it about.

A heated blanket is a nice touch as it gets cold lying down doing nothing. I hate the therapist leaving when the mask is on. Stay and do a scalp or arm/hand massage.

What would make me never go back is steaming. Shock

Liz Earle.. Just went on Monday and it was everything you want from a facial. Warm bed, fluffy towels and dim lights. My therapist never left me for the whole 1hr 30 mins..

I came out radiant and they even re did my makeup!

Wow rohey that sounds amazing. My favourite is Decleor because they start with a back massage. I make sure to avoid the one with the ready brek mask though! Generally the aromatics smell good too.

We used to live in Vietnam and I used to go to a salon where after your facial, they would sit you up and put a hot, wet towel on your back. It was the best bit for me. I loved it.

I might be weird.
