Anyone own MBT's

Bought a pair of MBT trainers this morning - bit of a whammy at £135 a pop but a friend swears by them. Anyone have any advice for this MBT virgin?

Hiya,

Wear them little and often to start with. Don't put them on for a whole day at first, just start with one or two short walks every day or wear them around the house for an hour or two each day. You will soon get used to them.

I can't say I have noticed a huge difference in my legs or backside but they do make me feel virtuous when I do the school run (on foot!).

I found this afternoon that I had to concentrate quite hard to make sure my ankles were going outward as per the instructions and that I was pressing down with the foot "under my body". Is this much concentration necessary or does it all come naturally anyway?

I never really thought about that one, I just try to walk as normally as possible. I do forget I have them on so you will probably find you don't have to think about it so much soon.

Did you find the DVD a bit frightening?? A bit Stepford wives for me...

Absolutely - that woman with her weird disjointed voice - very creepy. Am having another try now - ankles feeling a bit strange and can't focus on anything else but will persevere. Have got bad arthritis in hips so really hoping this works.

definitely take it easy then!

I got the sandals rather than the trainers and am hoping the summer isn't over yet, I was hoping for some more warm weather so I can really get working on these lumps and bumps!!
