Size 20 trousers for the large of hip and smaller of waist?

Dear Mumsnetters,

Could anyone recommend where to get decent trousers (by which I mean not 100% polyester and/or covered with sequins) that fit the above description, for my mother? She has found some in the past in M&S, but the pairs I have bought for her recently seem to have been designed for a tubular body shape - so they stick away at her waist and hang down at her crotch. She is also tall, so it would be perfect if the trousers would have longer legs, too.

Hi I've recently bought some jeans from Evans that are designed for pear shaped figures and they're the most comfortable I've ever had. I think they do pear shaped fit trousers too, might be worth a look if you're desperate. Good luck

I second the evans pear shaped. I wear the jeans a lot. I'd order a few sizes as they can be a bit odd - I think you either love them or hate them.
I had some formal trousers made for me in Thailand - they're amazing, trousers that actually fit my bum & waist! Would be interested to hear any other suggestions.
