What's the bet primer you've tried?

Just that really. I like Smashbox Photo Finish but it's quite pricey for a small tube. Can anyone recommend any others?

Lanacane anti chafing gel - 5 quid for 30mls, almost the same ingredients as smashbox just as good if not better. It's not a primer really but it works as one.

I just bought Clinique Pore Minimiser. It is lovely but also pricey so I think I will try the chaffing gel too for midweek

Has anyone tried the Maybelline primer? Is it good?

bunny you mean the baby skin one? I have it. It's pretty good especially for the price!

My favourite is the Illamasqua Hydraveil because it feels like it drenches my slightly dry skin. It's gorgeous stuff.

Yep, lanacane is the same as smash box.

Mac prep n prime

just trying a benefit one which is nice. Also have recently used two by MUA. One in a tube for less than a fiver, great for everyday. The other is from their fashionsita range which is on sale and it is fab. Really velvety and similar to Benefit Dr Feel Good

I use the maybelline primer in the little pot - is a clear jelly. It is marvellous!

I have just checked out the lanacane anti-chafing gel. Out of curiosity how did someone figure out to use this as a primer?

Clarins Beauty Flash or the Barbara Daly from Tesco is good for £5.

I use Prep and Prime because it's good and because of the SPF 50 it carries along with it

GOSH primer from Superdrug is amazing, goes on silky smooth!

I second the MAC SPF 50 primer. I've used it consistently for about four years. I hate silicone-y primers, they make my skin crawl. This one is more of a lotion/sun cream consistency, and isn't oily at all. In fact it's quite oil controlling.

I liked the Rimmel stay matte one, a similar consistency to the MAC SPF, but it gave me mega spots.

That's so interesting about the Lanacane and I'd also like to know how using it as a primer came about.
I found the Olay Regenerist Regenerating Serum works well as a primer. I also like the Laura Mericer one. I loved the Mac Prep & Prime SPF 50 but didn't like having to cut the tube open to get the last third out. Did any body else have that problem with it?
I don't recommend Garnier Blur. Promises so much, delivers so little.

Alex I agree about the Garnier Blur. Even the tiniest amount took hours to sink in and it left horrible white flaky bits on my skin.

I really like porefessional by benefit, it made a visable difference.
The foundation i use is a foundation/primer and its great, its by soap and glory.

Yes the packaging of the MAC SPF is rubbish. I cut the end off and dispense it into a little plastic pot. Annoying, but I like the product so much, it's worth doing.
