i brougt a pair of black patent ballet pumps and there so comfy so am thinking of getting them in brown for autum / winter but wonderd wether i'd be commiting a fashion crime or wether they'll still be "in"

ballet flats can be great with tanned toned bare legs but may end up looking weird with tights and skirts, and even worse with socks and trousers. Try with your current ones and see.
wouldn't worry about in-ness or otherwise - could be v good with winter's 60s-type shift dresses

I wear ballet pumps with tights. Wouldn't get brown though as they'll look awful with black tights.

I think patent shoes look good with either sheer black tights or really thick wooly tights, but not the inbetween, iyswim)
plus with such 'safe' shoes you can go for a shorter skirt
definitly not with socks and trousers though ..lol..

Bozza · 10/08/2006 16:27

You could wear them with jeans and barefeet though.

i think they look nice with tights, there are some nice la redoute tight out in brown that are sort of croched (or however you spell it) ballet flats are always in go for it.

what make are your shoes?

babyonboard · 10/08/2006 16:29

Bozza - not so good in winter when you get puddle slosh in them! lol

fairydust · 10/08/2006 18:31
