Anyone ever dyed a pair of DR Martens

Has anyone successfully dyed a pair of yellow leather docs or for that matter any make of leather shoe/boot . If so what products did you use.

Yes. Purple. It all peeled off.

I dye leather boots all the time. Dylon shoe dye is rubbish and will peel off, but I have succesfully dyed but other brands.

What colour do you want to dye them?

any colour red purple the yellow is just too bright but they are so comfortable I cant give them up

I dyed my cherry red dm's with fiebings medium brown leather dye

Yes - I used fiebings too, the cordovan shade on tan authentic wedge boots. Really nerve wracking but actually pretty easy to do. Put down more newspaper than you think you should, that stuff really will stain.
