Seraphine Maternity Clothes - anyone got anything from them?

Does anyone have any experience of the website Seraphine? They have some really nice looking dresses. I'm thinking of ordering something but I thought I'd ask here first.

I bought a dress from them to wear to a wedding when I was around 32 weeks. Fitted well, comfortable to wear and not overly expensive. I did go to the store in London rather than use the website.

Pinkandwhite · 24/02/2014 21:19

I didn't know they had an actual shop. Thanks goodbyeyellow.

I bought quite a few things and really liked them, especially the clothes which can be worn for nursing too.

Thanks missmargot.

I had 2 tops from them when I was pg, they washed well and sold well on eBay too! Smile

Didn't Kate Middleton wear a few of their things when pregnant, and when she left the hospital w baby Prince George? Maybe I am confused. They have a shop on Kensington Church St, just near the little lane that runs to Kensington Palace / Hyde Park.

I've had 3 pairs of trousers and some shoes. They were all great quality.

Minty82 · 24/02/2014 21:53

I have two pairs of jeans which are now on their second pregnancy, fit well (though I had to have them taken up) and are very comfy. Also got a gorgeous dress for Christmas which has done a christening, a wedding and a posh dinner - I love it.

Pinkandwhite · 24/02/2014 22:22

Yes, it looks like Kate Middleton did wear a few of their things. I'm quite excited about this store because I'm struggling to find maternity clothes I like.

Thanks for the comments.

I had a black maternity pencil skirt from there which was really nice. Went to the store and tried a whole lot of things on and wish I had had more money at the time to buy more things!

Ohfuckohfuckofuck · 25/02/2014 07:52

Loved my sera phone maternity jeans, best of about 6 pairs through 2 pregnancies. They were long though.

MrsFlorrick · 25/02/2014 11:07

Yes loads!! Grin Both with DD 5 years ago and with DS 3 years ago.

It was all fab quality and looked amazing !
And if its good enough for the Duchess of Cambridge......

BikeRunSki · 25/02/2014 11:12

I had some cord trousers. Really nice quality. Really comfy and stayed up! Wore them loads and they looked good as new after 2 pg. sold well on eBay.

Pinkandwhite · 25/02/2014 14:03

It's really good to know the clothes from there last well etc.

Did you find the sizes quite generous or fairly normal? I'm not sure when I'll be able to get to one of their stores and there's a dress I want to order for a wedding. Before pregnancy I was a size 10 from most highstreet shops (an 8 from generously sized shops like Next). This will be my first maternity purchase!

They are great but you can normally get their stuff second-hand on ebay. Got two dresses and two pairs of jeans last pregnancy for about £100.
Think I had small/10 and was pre-preg 8-10.

Isabella Oliver also good for posh pregnancy frocks & also good ebay buy.

eurochick · 25/02/2014 14:18

I've just ordered two dresses from there. They are both pretty nice but large (I'm at the inbetween stage where I am too fat for my normal clothes but don't have a distinct bump yet, and it is difficult to imagine how they will fit in a couple of months. I am a 10-12 usually and bought in a 12 as my hips and thighs seem much bigger than pre-preg, but I think I should have gone for the 10.

PoshPaula · 25/02/2014 14:22

I had a beautiful maxi dress from there for a summer pregnancy. I was genuinely gutted when it didn't fit me after pregnancy!

Pinkandwhite · 25/02/2014 14:40

Thanks for the info re sizing and great idea to look on ebay - that hadn't even occurred to me! I really do have baby brain!

I found the sizing quite large on skirts and trousers but ok on tops I bought one drapey nursing top that was very short in the body and small so it wasn't great and two other bf tops but they were dry clean or handwash only which was irritating because babies puke loads.

Pinkandwhite · 25/02/2014 15:42

So I've just ordered two dresses from the outlet part of the website for £19 each which isn't bad! I hope they're nice. I hate ordering stuff I haven't tried on but maternity clothes in shops where I live are virtually non existent. Fingers crossed for these dresses!
