The dress is a sort slightly fishtail wiggle dress in satin and I usually go for a forties make up look which would include quite a strong red lipstick.

Absolutely!!! My wedding dress is a fifties cut, ruby red, and I will be wearing red lipstick too imo it fits perfectly with forties /fifties look (which I also dress in)

You could have went with Nude but the dress looks like a very rich red so I would 100% go with black.
