So is anyone brave enough to go to the Boden sale in Bruntingthorpe?

I received an invite today but I'm too scared to go. Is it terribly agressive and elbowy? Has anyone been to one before? It might be the most middle class event I've ever been invited to.

I went to the Lincoln one. It was ok, loads of stock and people wandering around picking stuff up and being polite. Massive changing room behind curtains.

Was stuff really reduced then? Doesn't sound too scary!

Yes. I got a lovely dress for £15 and a cashmere and cotton jumper with beads round the neck for £30.

Went to one in Swindon couple of weeks ago, third time I've been.

For once I got there early enough to not have to join the queue outside. It's civil though people do tend to grab anything that there's an outside chance they might buy before retreating to the edge of the hall & rationalizing their basket.

The stock comprised a huge amount of items that had been labelled faulty - more than I ever recall in the past. Whilst some of the faults were dirty marks that would have probably cleaned off, I did see a lady pick up a pair of boy's trousers that had a horrendous rip at the front top of leg that wouldn't't be salvageable. Other faults were sizing issues where the length or width differed by 2-5 cm from what had been advertised.

I think now Boden has their own eBay store

Oops
That the quality of what's available at sales is less good. I wasn't't looking for anything less than age 9 though
