Cleaning out travel sized containers - or chuck?

I have so many travel sized containers I fill with moisturisers, shampoo, conditioner, cleanser etc - all bought for hand luggage only travel, I'm trying to clean them out and reuse but they smell stale and the moisturiser is tricky to remove completely. What can I do that's easy and works - are we talking Milton fluid, boiling or just giving up, buying a new set every time we fly short haul will get a little pricey. What do you do?

Run them through the dishwasher in the cutlery baskets. Job done.

I fly with hand luggage a lot, and the only container I reuse is my hair conditioner bottle as I use a lot of that. I use solid shampoo from lush for convenience, and the small Olay moisturiser (7 in 1), and just use wipes when using hand luggage or a solid cleanser from Lush.

Dishwasher sounds like the job!
I've tried wipes, they were too sore on my skin. I have eczema, so sticking to my usual products is the best way to avoid problems.
