Stretching shoes/boots a teeny bit to fit

Just that really - have bought some boots off Internet and they seem narrow.

Lengthwise they are ample so can't size up - reeaaaly love them so don't want to send back

I have several pairs of the same brand (Hudson) that are fine and know they'll give a little - but what can I be doing to encourage them to stretch a little and avoid painful feet?

Had a google but would like RL success stories please
Dubbin to soften the leather?
Stuff with wet newspaper?

A shoe repairs place can do it for you.

I find wearing them around the house with thick sport socks is usually enough.

Wear socks, put shoes on, hair dryer the shoes.
DH does that and seems to work.

Stuff with wet paper. Wait until it dries.
