got an interview tomorrow. I know the organisation well and know that a suit is not required. will be wearing a very nice dark brown skirt. what I want to know is is there a big difference in terms of smartness between a "smart" t-shirt ie v-neck with a satin trim - and a shirt. I've got said t-shirt in pale green or reddy pink. Shirts I've only got white - long or short-sleeved. wouldn't wear the skirt with shirts normally (tend to only wear shirts with jeans) but would consider it if mn wisdom thinks it's better.

I'd say shirt not essential, esp if t-shirt makes for nicer outfit. Are tees 3/4 sleeved? Better than either long or short.

hope you have nice shoes and bag - remember No Bare Toes, however informal the firm!

thought someone might say that. only shoes I've got bare my toes. aprt from some truly hideous boring brown courts with horrible heels. maybe I'll dig them out.

brown shoes are as hideous as I remembered. new dilemma now - dug out my black suit and despite what I said I've slightly inclined to wear it - cos it's lovely. but I have got no shoes to wear it with - choices are - hideouos brown courts or boots. I can;t wear either can i?
