what to wear with this length skirt?

I'm new to wearing skirts so I got this one as it seemed so basic and an ideal starting point. It's slightly woolly probably below the knee but could be rolled??! What would u wear it with especially to ease me in gently to wearing skirts? Also what shoes/boots? My legs are a bit chunky although I'm a size 10/12 I know it probably goes with lots of things but I'm that clueless!

Anyone? Is it that bad? Is this more a formal skirt?

It's such a classic basic black skirt you could wear anything in the same way you would with black trouser. I have similar one on right now for work and I am wearing it with a black jumper black and gold peplum belt and black lace up Victorian style knee boots. Wool lends itself to winter so thick jumpers, patterned tights, large belts, boots or shoes... Anything you want really. It you have chunky calves I'd suggest a heel instead of flat as I'm the same and flats in knee length skirts always makeshift look chunkier iyswim.

Thanks pretty! Once I get used to wearing skirts and other things a bit out my comfort zone I will come back for some advice on something more interesting maybe!!;-)
