Need advice on avoiding awful line along waistline of tights please

I'm really struggling with the line of tights under dresses. I'm a size 12ish, the tights are the 'correct' size, but under fitted dresses I get a horrible line showing around my waist where end. The tights aren't too tight I don't think- if they weren't tightish round the waist they would end up around my knees!

I'm wearing bodycon type dresses so not very tight but they really show this horrible line.

Any tips gratefully received.

Gap low rise tights. Although they really only come in black. Else, you need stay ups.

Thanks bunny, didn't even know they existed! I will look out for them.

I feel really uncomfortable in holdups or stockings- I'm forever worried I will end up showing my stocking tops inadvertently.....

Primark high rise toughs are brilliant !

I had some Agent Provocateur stay ups that were very good. But when they are bad, they are diabolical.

snip the waistband of them with scissors. I did this first when pregnant but do it on all my tights now. works a treat, just don't go too far and they'll be grand.

Spanx tights are expensive but fab under fitted dresses - they go all the way up to your bra. No lines necessary Smile

I always wear Spanx and stay ups (M&S or Aristoc) under tight fitting frock because I have the exact same problem with tights. I'd be scared to snip the waistband though incase they ended up around my ankles!

I've had hold in type tights from tesco and they go up to under the bra. They're the only ones that don't fall down on me.
