hi Tinker, I'm going to a wedding next week, and am wearing a black DRESS (37 weeks pg and only dress I have..!!). Plan to dress it up with a coloured scarf or something. Think a black jacket's fine! Have a good one.

Carmenere · 05/08/2006 09:04

Well I would

Northerner · 05/08/2006 09:06

With what?

trinityrhino · 05/08/2006 09:07

I don't think it matters at all

YellowFeathers · 05/08/2006 09:09

What are you teaming it up with?

YellowFeathers · 05/08/2006 09:09

I think black is totally acceptable at weddings now.

Tinker · 05/08/2006 09:14

A dress. Oh, god please don't throw a "With what?" into the mix . Wedding today btw, have nothing else suitable, no more time to look, all tat when I have looked ie Next.

I think a black jacket would be fine. Is the dress a light colour?

YellowFeathers · 05/08/2006 09:21

I don't see a problem with it. Even if the dress is black too.
Just wear some lighter coloured shoes, bag etc

hulababy · 05/08/2006 09:29

I am sure it is perfectly acceptable to wear a black jacket.

WideWebWitch · 05/08/2006 09:30

yes, of course you can.

Tinker · 05/08/2006 09:35

Hurrah! I love you all. Dress is "berry coloured" > Purple shoes.

Sounds lovely. POst a pic please.

In fact we should have a wedding outfit thread.

MrsJohnCusack · 05/08/2006 09:45

we've agreed before black fine for weddings
dress/shoes sound nice!

MrsJohnCusack · 05/08/2006 09:46

sorry that came out all wrong!
lovely day for a wedding

Spagblog · 05/08/2006 09:53

I think black is fine...Unless you are the Groom's ex and you are teaming the jacket with a black wedding dress and black veil and plan on wailing loudly.
