Please find me some red, ribbed, cotton or wool tights

for an adult woman, that don't cost £30+? I want to wear them with a navy tea dress-sort-of-thing, navy tights are Too Much Navy and a nice true red would look lovely with boots. I cannot find the things anywhere. Burgundy, yes. Purple, yes. Red, no. Plenty of children's red tights out there (does this mean I harbour unconscious desires to dress like a schoolgirl?) but nothing for grown women.

Found plenty of synthetic, true red but little luck otherwise

I had a yen for these about a year ago and I agree that they are difficult to find. I bought two pairs from a shop called The Peas Knees - very much like the ones Lettuce links to. Not wool, but knitted nylon. Can't seem to find them on the site now.

Alternatively, try eBay. Something like these?

Thanks, I'll have a think about those. Maybe the ebay pair, if they're not as vibrant as the photo! It's odd, isn't it? Why can't you find them in adult sizes??
