I have got a very special (and posh) wedding coming up of a close relative who overcame (what was then) terminal illness as a child. We are very close and I used to tell her stories of our future weddings as she lay in her hospital bed to give her hope. This is a day I feel is almost as special to me as my own wedding - I feared we would never get to see this day.

The colour scheme is ivory with tones of peach and pink. Flower girls are wearing ivory, mother of bride is wearing "blush"

I am 5'4, nearly 40, hourglass size 10 figure, massive boobs (30GG) with long brown hair which I'll probably wear down in a soft wave desperately hoping to look like a Middleton, kaki green eyes. I suit reds, clear greens etc. I look awful in peach. I would like something with sleeves as I have the most awful upper arms with cellulite on Confused. My legs are v slim but I'm slightly knock-kneed but in high heels they look OK. . I want to look fab but not tarty or frumpy. Have seen a red dress on Phase Eight but unsure....help me S&B gurus!!!

I'm worried if I wear red I will ruin the photos if everyone else is in shades of peach!

Bump - it's in a few weeks and I'm panicking .....

I wouldn't worry about the pink/peach thing. There will be lots of people wearing different colours, it's not the right time of year to find those colours.
I have this in black and it is gorgeous and I am a size 14. The red is lovely.

oh good question! but id try them first before spending hours trying to accessorize! are you near a town where you could pop in and try?

Missred · 10/02/2014 19:42

I think This would really suit you. This is also lovely on with the matching jacket, very smart although I appreciate the colour is not your first choice.
Hat wise may I suggest you look on Etsy? I left it far too late and so wish I had known to look, some lovely things on there.

AgathaF · 10/02/2014 20:04

I've no suggestions outfit wise, but just wanted to say that I hope your relative and her husband, you and all of their guests have a really fabulous day.

MrsLettuce · 10/02/2014 20:36

this? I'm always linking to it but it's such a flattering cut! I t also comes in a nice blue and black too.

patienceisvirtuous · 10/02/2014 20:40

I wore this to a wedding at the weekend with a black sequinned shrug and black, platform peep toes. I got lots of compliments. It's really flattering.

Find me a fabulous outfit for this special wedding please!
patienceisvirtuous · 10/02/2014 20:41

It's from Phase Eight :)

patienceisvirtuous · 10/02/2014 20:43

Oo Missred I have that Phase Eight dress, it's lovely.

CockBollocks · 10/02/2014 21:14

this

With 30GG boobs, if you want sleeves you really need a lower neckline. Otherwise you will look very wide across the top half.

HaveToWearHeels · 10/02/2014 21:47

What about a red wrap and nude shoes ?
Do you need to go from a church to a hotel or is it all in one place ?

Missred · 10/02/2014 21:58

patien :) 'tis a lovely dress, I wore same plus matching jacket to a wedding last week, felt - for a change! - suitably dressed!

Missred · 10/02/2014 22:00

Love the damsel dress as well, would look amazing with the current 'statement necklace' styling.
I need another wedding !

singaporeswing · 11/02/2014 03:06

I'm the same shape, bra size and colouring and have just bought this for a wedding. You're a few inches shorter than me, so it should be knee length.

Hourglass figures really suit these dresses from www.getcutie.co.uk - take your measurements as their sizing is conservative. Great beautiful British made dresses to wear to a wedding.

Queenofknickers · 12/02/2014 20:29

Wow, thanks everyone! I've ordered the red lace from monsoon so fingers crossed!!!!

I don't think you will disappointed, I love mine, but they didn't do the red then, I think the red will show of the gorgeous lace better.
