What is your venture?

WhereIsMyHat · 05/02/2014 09:36

The only ones I liked were number 2 but it depends of your target group.

DaftSkunk · 05/02/2014 09:44

I like 1 and 2.

Karbea · 05/02/2014 09:45

I agree 2, but they look very expensive. Guess your new business is high end?

Eggs · 05/02/2014 09:46

1 is my favorite - 3 is awful!

Coumarin · 05/02/2014 10:12

2 isn't to my personal taste but is the nicest if the 3 and I can imagine them being very popular. The brooches are really clever.

Some of 1 are ok but there doesn't seem to be a definite style or aesthetic holding them together. A bit random.

3 is a definite no from me. Sorry to the designer, they're obviously talented but I'd never wear something like that.

buttercrumble · 05/02/2014 10:14

1 is the best

Bodicea · 05/02/2014 10:16

1 is best. 2 is ok ( bit mumsy and not to my taste but depends on target market).
3 is horrible. Can't see anyone buying that x

Bodicea · 05/02/2014 10:19

Actyally 2's bracelets and earrings nice. It is just necklaces I am not keen on

MrsPixieMoo · 05/02/2014 10:20

I hated the pretentious twaddle irrelevant stuff about not being a grown up on the first website. Didn't get to the jewels on that one, was put off.

2 is ok, but quite eccentric for the high prices and not to everyone's taste. Would be good to see some of her other collections to see if she can sustain the quality or if themes emerge.

3 is awful Limpets belong on rocks not wrists.

MadBusLady · 05/02/2014 10:25

2 and bits of 1 are lovely. Agree with the others on 3 though, sorry. That looks like stuff for an older age group to me.

Can't help noticing 2 also has by far the slickest website though, which may be swaying us all a bit.

MadBusLady · 05/02/2014 10:33

Does anyone here actually wear brooches by the way? I think I've got a couple of big glittery costume ones that go on a jacket for weddings, but they're not everyday items to me.

cathyandclaire · 05/02/2014 10:36

Love 2, some of one, 3 looks a bit like the 'Jewellery' my DDs made after nature visits to the beach with school!

MrsBucketxx · 05/02/2014 12:21

Im opening a gallery so it wont be the main attraction just a really small part. Quite close to girls schools, but mainly older ladies tbh. Thats why I chose 3 im only buying small amounts of each to see how it sells.

OP posts:
MrsBucketxx · 05/02/2014 12:24

I wont be buying broaches either, as you say no one wears them anymore.

Mintyy · 05/02/2014 12:26

Boycott 3 - no need for naked models to showcase jewellery. That's just plain trashy.

LaTrucha · 05/02/2014 12:52

I don't like any of them but two is the better one.

nobutreally · 05/02/2014 13:00

My personal preference would defn be 2 ...very Alex Monroe-a-like. Although I suspect its getting a bit dated now.

Liked a few things on 2

3 is hideous - looks very old fashioned & amateur.

Dontletthemgetyoudown · 05/02/2014 13:01

3 is awful.

Nancy66 · 05/02/2014 13:02

I liked one but not the other two - they looked cheap, clunky and a bit 'home made' to me.

bunnymother · 05/02/2014 13:11

I have to admit that I didn't like any of it, and I disliked 3.

MrsBucketxx · 06/02/2014 09:14

Crossing three off the list, ordering stuff from 2 but its way over budget need to specify what I want.

OP posts:
thepurplepenguin · 06/02/2014 09:19

I like 1 best.

2 is a bit been there, done that

3 would be good in a seaside resort...

mrscumberbatch · 06/02/2014 09:31

I am a jeweller, but I am very very picky... Here's my tuppence worth anyway.

The first one, its very 1990's. the designs look very much like a large commercial silver company that we used a lot. It all depends on the price point but I fear they are asking too much for what they are selling.

Similarly the second one, while being more interesting and technically superior, their designs almost look like they have been lifted from Pilgrim's website. I have also seen similar charm bracelets with acorns etc in the likes of top shop.
I'd be tempted to order a few items to gauge interest but I wouldn't be confident that it would sell easily.

The 3rd makes me want to gag. Sorry. I am all for natural form but there's some natural things that don't lend themselves to jewellery well.

mimiasovitch · 06/02/2014 09:51

I have been pressed against a shop window coveting some of 2s designs before now. Lovely stuff.
