I got a fab early autumn jacket. Red, with slightly puffed sleeves and a kind of swingy shape (sounds foul, but looks great) £10. And I found a great jersey dress in a v bold green/black print. 3/4 sleeves and wide neckline

There were loads of nice dresses. Trouble is you need a GOOD rumage.

BUT wiht a large bust i think may flare out na just makeme look pg

cupcakes · 03/08/2006 10:26

those swingy jackets are very in for autumn, so I've been reading.

I never have time to have a good rummage and give up too quickly.

crunchie · 03/08/2006 11:08

My Primark one is bright red with the 3/4 length sleeves, but they have bows around then (IYKWIM) it has a big collar and the swingy back. Looks fab over 'City shorts' and jeans. Unsure on white one, like lime skirt though

we have a primark opening here soon, is it good? (or do you see everyone in the same clothes)

i've never really heard of it before (ooh and do they sell shoes) sorry to butt in

paddingtonbear1 · 03/08/2006 12:19

I sometimes go in Primark in Manchester, it's huuuge! Some days it can resemble a cattle market. Last time I went I saw some people with so much stuff they could barely carry it out! You can get some really good stuff though - last time I got some underwear, a dress and really nice top for dd, and they've all washed fine. Other times you might go in and see nothing. Be prepared to rummage, and you could get some good bargains!

theflumpsmum · 03/08/2006 12:26

We had one open here at the end of june..im off today to see what goodies i can find. Before i had to travel a good few miles to the nearest one lol, only just going to the local one now its been complete madness in there for the past month lol.
Im hoping to get an outfit for the weekend...im off clubbing on a boat up the thames lol, thing is i cant resist their underwear and childrens clothes and usually end up spending a fortune.
wish me luck for :-
a)fighting through the crowds and
b) resisting anything other than an oufit for myself

bundle · 03/08/2006 12:30

lime is a v ill-advised colour for most skin tones...

Northerner · 03/08/2006 12:37

Oh I love Primark. But have to have a trip to Leeds to get there.

YOu must go alone. Not a nice experience with kids.

Northerner · 03/08/2006 12:38

I look lush in lime. Have a gorgeous lime vest. Love it.

crunchie · 08/08/2006 19:25

Oh and what do you know. That green leasy printy dress is APPARENTLY THE dress of teh season for Autumn Accoring to the Observer

I wore the jkt last week with loads of fab comments, the dress today and at least 6 'where did you get that it's fab' at work

GO BUY IT

I love that blue mix dress from M and S. Bargain too.

What do you think it would look like with pale denimy blue cropped swing coat over it?

Thoughts anyone?

smurfgirl · 08/08/2006 19:42

Primark is fab at the moment. I live in Hull and we have a HUGE one and you don't have to rummage too much because its still quite new. You totally have to be in a Primark mood tho.

I think those coats are v.mum but I don't like that style really.

Love the Wallis skirt style but not in lime.
