Black or purple dress?

I'm not sure whether to go for black or purple of this:

I've not bought a nice dress before so I'm torn! I'm not really sure on my colouring either, I do those warm/cool colour tests and fit into both categories. I think that I look okay in purple and most of what I own is black or purple. I'm not really confident in wearing nice things tbh so that doesn't help.

Purple. The black looks a wee bit cheap purple seems to be a lovely shade.
