Osprey handbags...talk to me!

My darling friends have clubbed together for my 40th for a handbag fund. I've seen a few Osprey bags for about £300+ which I like... Are they any good? I need something that can carry my laptop, phones, iPad, make up bag etc. I like to carry them on my right shoulder, not across my body. I want leather that is durable too. I like colour, but it needs to be ok for work too.... Help!

I bought a dark brown osprey satchel some time before Christmas and use it for work. It still looks brand new, great quality, I love it and get lots of compliments for it.
I also have an osprey wallet with a zip, excellent quality, too.
Can't praise them highly enough.

I have one too - small blue cross body one.
Its only a year old but still looks brand new. £20 in TK Maxx so I would have a look there first.

They all look as though they would last a long time so I wouldn't hesitate to get another (sadly my bank balance won't let me).

You can probably get a cheap one in TK Maxx , they don't have the same lining though.

I bought one - rubbish quality and rubbish customer service.

Take a look at the designer outlet malls- I have seen some nice osprey bags in the one near york- radley also have good bags (which they helpfully call "work bags") which are more of a tote bag shape and good quality leather for under £200.

They are gorgeous! Don't forget to check out TKMaxx website because they get quite a few. (Also there is an outlet at Cheshire Oaks I think)

I saw quite a few Osprey thongs in TK Maxx yesterday including bags and scarves so worth checking

I saw some osprey in TK Maxx for about £50 - are they different to normal Osprey?? I did buy for pressies some Osprey purses for £7-99 each. They are lovely.

Ladymary, is the bag very long? Is that why people bump into it?

Dexter - what happens, does the leather crack/go patchy? Why did you have to use customer service?

There is an osprey outlet in Gloucester quays - ridiculously large discounts. And some lovely bags.

The stitching was coming apart in places and the colouring on the leather came off in patches. The bag wasn't very old so I took it back the the shop but they weren't interested and basically told me it was my fault the bag was in the condition it was.

I would never pay full price for an Osprey bag as there are so many in TKMaxx! The normal leather is good quality and lasts, the moc croc looks ok online but in real life it looks cheap and actually not real.

I have several and love them . No problems with quality.

All mine have come from the outlet shops.... Gloucester , St Albans, York ." The Gloucester outlet was the nicest and the staff there were the mos helpful of all.

Got mine at tkmaxx, people always comment how nice it is - RICH people. ;)

I've had mine for over a year, nearly everyday use. It still looks great and gets noticed every time I take it out (In a good way!)

If you live near St Albans / Hatfield the staff in the outlet are lovely. I have three bags and they are great. I did a problem with one (the strap broke I think). It was replaced without any problems.

Good advice about the croc -I liked this one but don't want fake shiny! I actually don't possess a black handbag so might go with a black leather!

I have a year old Osprey and I'm struggling to get the company to replace it as the handle is coming apart. No customer service at all so I won't be getting another
