Dress arrived and it makes me look ten years older

I ordered what I thought was a lovely dress but its halter style high neck and black colour makes me look very broad in the shoulder and pretty frumpy.
Please help me find a dress - I'm size ten, 36,34,36 but got the usual mum style middle.
I need something short but not too bright on colour or low in the neck. It's for a Sex in the City Hen do so glam??
Please help me - I can't go shopping as no way with two small DC's and live away from nearest city.

Thanks - to be honest I'm not really sure about the Reiss dress. I really want a lace number but can't find anything.

Have you had a look at Alexon? Really lovely dresses AND they have a mega sale on atm.
I love this wine coloured velvet cocktail dress
but they have a few on sale atm and this Navy lace peplum looks like it might be quite kind over the mum-tum area!
or there's a gorgeous scarlet one with jewels and drapey bits over the tummy

I love both those last two but I'm a bit too chunky of thigh and short for the purple flower one ( which is gorgeous.)
I like the black lace sleeved one linked above but couldn't go backless like that.

The tricky thing is I'm quite short so mid calf looks long on me - I'm petite but not skinny - I've a solid sort of build? So can look drowned in some clothes but chunky in bodycon.
