A gym bag in disguise?

I need a gym bag that doesn't look like a gym bag. Not too pricey but could spend up to £100 for the right bag if I had to. It needs to fit all the usual stuff - trainers, a book, a towel, etc.

I go to the gym at lunchtime with a rucksack and every colleague and their dog has been commenting on it. Please help me go incognito and in style?

I use a Waitrose bag for life! Costs 10p but is most definitely not stylish! How about a Longchamp bag?

I have this www.johnlewis.com/orla-kiely-tulip-stem-easy-zip-tote-black-white/p851283 which is lovely.

Damn you Dexter, I am now rampantly coveting a Longchamp.

I know, me too. My bag for life really doesn't cut the mustard. I just have an aversion to spending money on gym stuff.

I love the Orla Kiely but its not really incognito enough. The Longchamp (or maybe a cheaper knockoff) is probably the way I'll go. Thank you!

I have an Anya Hindmarch tote, its's canvas with leather handles, tucks under the arm, looks like a shopper but plenty of space to act as a gym bag. It wasn,t cheap but actually has ended up being v good value as I used it as a changing bag while on mat leave and after a wool cycle wash and a bit of leather polish on the handles, has come up good as new. They have other similar ones - around £100ish- that look really nice. Am trying justify a new one but can't!

I'd go for a plain leather tote - gap

DD shoves her PE kit in a primark cotton shopper.

Clearly you need something more up market, I had a very nice M&S reusable bag, black with wooden handles.

Trouble with incognito (and I can understand you not wanting competitive types asking how many squat, cycle, treadmill thingys you did) is trainers and towels. They are awkward bulky things. Even a nice expensive leather tote bag will look lumpy and not like it's full of important files.
