What style of coat?

I need to replace my coat. It's old, I got it when I was pregnant with DD1 (who is now 8) so I bought a size 12, the elastics which can be used to give it some shape have gone, so it's completely shapeless, etc.

I'm 5'8, size 10, very small on top (A cup), probably 'rectangle' although I do have a waist. People regard me as very skinny, although I do have a slight tummy now I've had 3 children.

I get cold really easily, so I need something warm, but I can easily look like a sack of potatoes.

In terms of what I need to be able to wear it for:

I have to do the school run, so it can't be too formal. However, I also do lots of voluntary work:
-Governor at two schools
-A Local Authority Select Committee (with MPs)
-Admissions appeals panels
-Help at two schools.

Can anyone give me any tips? I'm very aware that what looks stunning on a lovely hourglass figure will make me look like a shapeless baggy rag lady Grin

My next coat will be one of these. It might not be what you are after though.

That's nice, LaTrucha. I was thinking I probably need a bit more shape, though? It's a nice length but I genuinely have very little definition in my shape unless it's done for me with the clothes.
