Retin A ; Retinol Anti ageing and spot control - where to get??

Hello,

I had a prescription for Retin A cream a couple of years ago for spot control and to help the skin repair from the spots. I used it sparingly and it lasted ages and worked WONDERS for my skin, it was glowing. Anyway, i've run out and the GP said they don't do the cream anymore...... Shock

Where do you get these products from?

I see there are some on amazon - can anyone recommend something?

thx

What strength was the cream you used previously?

Newhere2 · 30/01/2014 17:14

I think its 0.1%, or perhaps 0.05%

eBay. Cheap as chips and works wonders Smile

Sorry for hijacking but what would you recommend for some pretty serious acne scars / spots on my back? Not too worried about it going red blotchy for a few days if it will clear it up super fast iykwim

Ps I have actually been prescribed Duac gel 3%, does anyone have an experience with this V retinol A?

Newhere2 · 31/01/2014 13:52

Hi KatieScarlett, what product did you buy exactly? There are so many to choose from and I have no idea which ones are rubbish and what actually works.

thx

Watching with interest for recommendations. Bit scared of ebay - you can't see what the ingredients are!

JennyOnAPlate · 31/01/2014 16:45

I get 0.05% retin a cream off eBay. Its improved my shitty skin hugely. I've previously had differin, zineryt, duac and antibiotics, and none of them worked.

Does anyone know why we can't get it from the gp?

KatieScarlett2833 · 31/01/2014 16:57

Healthnbeautyexpress is where I get mine. Can't do link without putting my details on here.

Newhere2 · 31/01/2014 19:03

Jennyonaplate, which one do you use?

KatieScarlett, thanks. There are a few in that store
