striped crochet dress yay or nay

Saw this dress the other day and not my usual type but looked excellent on me (5 ft 5, curvy but 10-12). I don't usually do crochet but I like the stripes and thought it could do for a variety of uses, pub lunch, casual work day etc. I also have tan boots I can wear with it.

Might give it a go myself actually but not holding my breath, elasticated waists usually look terrible on me.

fools - I was a bit worried re the elasticated waist (having put on a few pounds over Xmas) but it was fine and even better with a belt or the belt pictured.

Wore yesterday (vest under and cardi on top during day and at night.

With monsoon mid calf tan boots (leather). Looked great and got compliments. Well done Oasis!
