Hi everyone, I thought I would update you in how things ended up! Yes I have had the big chop and I am so pleased I did. My stylist Nina was a star, she insisted on coming in on her day off so she could do my hair when she was quiet and spend as much time on me as she needed to get my new style right. We spent almost an hour chatting about what to do and why, I really felt confident about everything.
Nina liked the colour I picked very much but had a few reservations about the style. She said the same as some posters about "Long Fringes" being more "On Trend" and that the style I had chosen was possibly a bit Mumsy, she felt I needed something sharper. She understood that I wanted something natural and easy and wanted me to have some options if I was not happy after cutting my hair short.
Taking everything into account Nina felt that the style I picked was a good option for a few reasons. Firstly it had some length on top so if I did regret cutting it then at least it would quickly grow into a more fashionable long fringe style, secondly when doing a major restyle she finds that if a client has actually picked a style herself it is normally a good start point for a restyle. She explained that it is almost impossible to grow back long again once it has been cut so short. She wanted to take me shorter but was a bit concerned that if she took me any shorter on a first cut I may feel scalped so we agreed that I would come back in two weeks for her to check that the colour has held and then if I want she will cut it shorter and sharper like the two extra styles in my pics if I am happy. This is the new me!

The reaction from family and friends has been fantastic, I have had loads of compliments even at work. I am so pleased with it and it has given me so much confidence that I do think I will go for the shorter option next week, what do you think?
