I currently wear m and s 36dd...and apparently am not allowed to wear plunge cos I don't have the boobs for itHmm as told to me by the ms measuring lady.

so advice would be great cos my bra's do not feel right...

Style depends on your boobs. What are they like? do you have a small gap in the middle or big? Is each individual breast wide with the root running under your armpit or quite narrow and upfront? are they full on top or bottom? is the tissue firm or soft?

Sorry, lots of questions! oh and what Iook would you like

Tutti · 28/01/2014 09:22

I have to do a lot of scoopingGrin

I look quite flat chested without a bra on...it all seems to be at the sides... but with a bra I am quite hourglassy..

well I just had a quick browse I prefer padded as I hate nipple display...the ones I wear now have got quite a high middle ..almost balconette style... but am open to suggetion

It sounds like your boobs are quite wide and shallow with not much projection? If so then take a look at curvy Kate showgirl range-actually ck in general are wide, s,shallow bras especially the moulded ones. Cleo maddie might suit you, bravissimo half cup styles and possibly the alana which gives great uplift. Tutti rouge also supposed to be wide and shallow. You probably won't like unpadded cleo and most panache. Moulded plunges will tend to gape although you could try the curvy Kate ones or the bravissimo satine

Statistically - wow I am impressed.

I think my boobs are the same - ages ago someone linked to pics of boobs but no way I could be bothered or was too confused to see which mine were!

The half cup are balconette.

I agree with the Alana. I've never got on with moulded ones fwiw.

I will also now browse.

StatisticallyChallenged · 28/01/2014 15:07

Technically, half cups should be lower than balconettes I think but tbh bra manufacturers seem to make the descriptions up as they go along. I'm forever seeing balconies called full cups, balconies called balconettes etc etc!

Alana is a very good bra - I have to go up a size in it because I'm fuller on top and if it's remotely stingy I get a bump over the top but I love the slightly retro lift it gives me.

It can be hard to tell what shape boobs are. Mine aren't the typical full on top in that I don't get that "cakes on a plate" look because they don't have a defined end point, they sort of taper all the way to my collar bone. But when you put them in bras you suddenly realise that I'm getting very high up quad boob because I still have lots of tissue at the top of the bra.

I need to do this then invest in a decent bra or two.
