Skincare regime - what would you change?

So I realised today I've had basically the same regime since I was a teenager which was a while 20 years ago. So what should I change?

Current regime is morning - wash face in shower (currently Clinique facial soap because I got some for Christmas but usually St Ives scrub - whichever the gentle daily one is) followed by Biotherm Aquasource moisturiser. Then evening - Nivea cleansing milk with some cotton wool, Clinque toner (another Christmas present) and Biotherm Skin-Ergetic Night and Aquasource eye cream.

My skin is pretty normal - the odd break-out on my chin and dry skin just above my nose if I'm stressed but otherwise nothing too interesting - and fortunately no wrinkles yet although suspect they're coming soon. I tend to default to Biotherm because I find them quite natural rather than too chemical but mainly it's because I used to work for the parent company so got them cheap!

So really it's just that I think it might be time for a change. What products would you recommend and anything I should be doing differently?

All opinions welcome - thanks in advance!

Don't wash your face in the shower! Unless you turn the temperature down to do it, the water is generally too hot
Is what you're doing working for your skin? I tend to go with the "if it's not broke..."

I'd use a cream cleanser at night and take it off with a flannel, or go over your skin with a damp flannel after the Nivea cleansing milk stage to remove every last bit.

I'd also be aware of how your skin reacts to the Clinique 'toner'. Mine loved it for a month then got really, really dry so just be aware and stop using it or use it once/twice a week.

I love Decleor night balms, my skin looks so well rested after using the rose one - MUCH cheaper on amazon but still quite pricey. They last 6 months as you need a teeny bit and thankfully they don't have a shelf life so you can dip in when you need it and then just leave it a while.

I try and stick to a few products. Sanctuary face wash & toner, L'Oreal Age Perfect Day cream and then in the evening the same things but also use Estée Lauder advanced night repair serum, L'Oreal Age Perfect Night cream and Estée Lauder night repair eye cream.

Hmm that sounds like a lot of products but it only takes a few minutes. I use a Sanctuary face polish once a week to exfoliate. Am 40 and am often told I don't look it.
