Can anyone recommend anything that does the same job but is cheaper? I'm looking to replace:

Clinique lash power long-lasting mascara - it HAS to be smudge proof. This is the only mascara I've found so far that is, but there must be others?

Laura Mercier primer

What do you style & beauty gurus suggest?

Mua do a primer that is a similar consistency to the Laura Mercier primer, ive also started using a bourgois one, which is about £10, there is a matt one and a glowy one, Revlon do a great primer to, Ive tried that many I cant remember all the names Smile

Thanks coco, i have quite dry skin, which would be the best do you think?

im not sure which one that would be best for dry skin as im more on the oily combination side, that said the Revlon one is the only one I regularly repurchase so I would recommend that one as the best all rounder,

CountingPennies · 26/01/2014 20:24

I'll start there then, thanks for the suggestions!

i've seen avon supershock mascara get good reviews here.

The Boots no 7 mascara in the gold tube is as good as Clinique. It's £12.95 normally but they always have money off vouchers. I got mine for £9 recently. I won't go back to clinique - not a single smudge!

I have a no 7 voucher that I can rescue that's yours op if you want it

CountingPennies · 28/01/2014 19:45

Thanks everyone. I think I'll try the Boots waterproof mascara, it sounds very similar to the Clinique one I use. I'll report back in a few weeks to do a comparison!

AllThings - thanks for the offer, that's very kind. No need however as I have one too.
