Gel nails suddenly not lasting more than a few days

Have been having them done for a few months and they used to last 3 weeks.

The last 3 times I have had them done they haven't lasted more than a few days. The lady who does them uses Jessica soft gels.

Any ideas???

I'm not sure of the answer but I had some done before Christmas and had that off last week (so on for about 3 weeks). They still looked ok but were a bit sparkly for mid jan!

Anyway the colour I had on last week is already looking worn and the colour on one nail has lifted completely so I peeled it off

I'm not impressed.

I have bio sculpture gel nails, they last a good three weeks. If they looked bad after a week I'd go back.

I get shellac every 3 weeks, with no peeling or lifting. Sounds like she's not doing a good job of application as I believe Jessica is of decent quality. I'd go elsewhere.

Thanks all.

Am going to someone different this week who uses shellac - my friend goes there and hers always last 3 weeks. Very expensive and frustrating when they don't last a week!

If you've always had the done at the same place with no problems then speak to the the tech that did them and let her know what's happening and hopefully she can resolve things for you.

Are you using a new hand cream / body moisturiser as this is often the first thing I find that effects gel nails.
