Not Ugg boots but similar

I'm looking for some boots that are similar to Uggs but cheap! They don't have to last for years and years, but a reasonable quality.

I was thinking Bearpaws, and saw a brand called Norway Originals in TK Maxx - are either good and is there a better alternative?

I can't afford the £200 for Uggs or Celtic & Co brands. Can't really afford the £30 or the TK Maxx ones either, but I want them and £30 is easier to justify!

What size feet are you? Next had some children's ones
I think they are vile unless worn with pyjamas

TulipOHare · 23/01/2014 14:04

Look for Kirkland boots on Ebay. They are around £40 and sheepskin. I haven't had them for myself, but bought DD a pair to use as houseboots and was really impressed with them.

I get my own boots from Kiwi Sheepskins and they are top-notch, but a bit over your budget, £80-£90 a pair.

BunnyLebowski · 23/01/2014 14:06

These?

I bought a pair for dogwalking and they are brilliant. Super cosy!

whatsagoodusername · 23/01/2014 14:18

Size 4, sometimes 3 (pretty reliably 36 European sizing). I hadn't thought of the possibility of getting children's ones.

They are not the prettiest boots, but they look toasty and I'm usually cold!

Just be careful - some of the fake Uggs out there are associated with horrific cruelty apologies for Mail link and www.peta.org/blog/animals-skinned-alive-uggs/ :(

catinboots · 23/01/2014 14:45

Bearpaws

From TK Maxx

PerditaMcLeod · 23/01/2014 14:50

DD and I both have a pair of these....

Very comfy and warm, and a bargain at £20 reduced from £59 Grin Highly recommended!

foolssilver · 23/01/2014 15:30

Ooh I like them Perdita, are they very fluffy?

MedusaIsHavingaBadHairday · 23/01/2014 17:01

Bearpaw are ok..I've had several pairs and while not quite as thick as real Uggs (I save those for dry cold only!) they are good.

The ones linked above are fake sheepskin and fake fur lining.. they really won't be half as warm or lasting as real sheepskin.

PerditaMcLeod · 23/01/2014 18:59

Fools, very very fluffy indeed!

working3jobs · 23/01/2014 19:16

i got a pair of these from tk maxx before xmas, £80.

www.amazon.co.uk/Shepherd-Boots-Womens-Black-Schwarz/dp/B00607BZAQ

sheepskin goes all way down to toes and the foot part is sturdy like normal boots.
am desperately after another pair, but can't find them that cheap!!

MrsAlwaysRight · 23/01/2014 19:24

Perdita will my rather generous calves be able to fit in them?

working3jobs · 23/01/2014 20:09

ooh, these are real shearling for £30, Kirkland boots as recommended upthread!

fluffie · 23/01/2014 20:14

Toast had some on their sale last week, £80 down to £30! Might be worth a look.

Corygal · 23/01/2014 20:22

These are real sheepskin and delish suede - one pair left in size small for 22.50

MollyBerry · 23/01/2014 20:26

Corygal aren't those indoor slippers?

Lozislovely · 23/01/2014 21:09

I got a pair of Toms Nepal boots in sale for £45. Similar to uggs but I wanted black (my staple colour!) and liked the styling on them. I think Amazon do them.

Keep my feet uber toasty when I'm walking the dog and for someone who wasn't overly taken with the Ugg style of boot, I've been converted Grin

NeatFreak · 23/01/2014 21:13

I love bear paws. I bought some two or three years ago, sprayed them with suede protector and they are still waterproof now. They're only now showing some sign of wear and the sole has detached a little but they have been fab. I am going to buy some more soon Smile

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 24/01/2014 09:29

I wear the £5.00 ones from Primark Blush but only in the house as it means I can go down the garden in them too without having to change shoes. I may or may not have also worn them to the shop Smile
