Belly button piercing trauma

I had a belly button piercing 8 years ago and decided to take it out when i was 4 months pg with ds. He is now 3 months old and the hole where my bb piercing was is still quite stretched and not healing I obviously still have a bit of a belly but was wandering if anyone else has had this problem and what to do about it! DH suggested going to the docs for stitches, but not too keen on that!

what do you mean when you say 'not healing'?
Is the site infected or were you expecting the hole to close?

I had my belly pierced before I had my DS, haven't had anything in the hole for nearly 5 years and it is still there, to the point where I can lift a bit of skin and see through the hole.

Hi pelvicfloor, was expecting the hole to close. My hole is just like yours NatalieJane, perhaps there is no answer, we'll just have to put up with it!

I think that because it is quite a large piercing that it permanently scars.
