They will have gone along to a photo-shoot and been handed the dresses in their size. They won't have chosen them.

Why they agree to it though, I don't know!

MmeGuillotine · 23/01/2014 12:42

When we first got together, I think I was probably a bit better looking (I was never really pretty though) but ten years on, my husband is definitely much better looking. He's eight years younger than me and has just lost over nine stone and got really into going to the gym and cycling and generally dressing better. He looks seriously hot now and gets IDd (he was once asked for ID when we were going into a club clearly together - I wasn't asked!) and checked out by other women all the time.

I am starting to feel a bit insecure tbh - although that may just be down to collywobbles about my fast approaching fortieth birthday tbh! :)

BearsBeetsBattlestarGalactica · 23/01/2014 12:43

With STBXH - me.

With the bf - I think he is slightly more attractive. Him and his friends think he is punching above his weight. So I guess that evens it out Wink

Beeyump · 23/01/2014 12:48

And that pose with the hand held weirdly against the thigh Confused

OhCaptainDarling · 23/01/2014 12:48

I'm physical better looking than my DH, but my DH has by far and away better personally qualities than me. Sense of humour, patients, level headed, doesn't panic or freak out, good with money etc etc..I don't have those qualities.

I'd rather have the above as frankly looks good. not saying I'm hot don't last and shouldn't be what you base you life on.

thepurplepenguin · 23/01/2014 12:49

DH has a much more attractive face but I have a better body and am better groomed. Swings and roundabouts!

impty · 23/01/2014 12:50

The dresses, are always awful. And Cat's is a size too big. Hair and make up is also meh!

CalamitouslyWrong · 23/01/2014 12:53

Arf. Obviously these people are so deluded that they couldn't foresee that this article could only end in them looking like arrogant fools. What would make you agree to be part of the article in the first place?

I love how the first woman is aware of how deluded and wrong her husband is. The baldness comments are brilliant. The second couple honestly sound like a pair of insufferable nightmares. The poor guy in the third couple is making out that he's Quasimodo or something.

In answer to the question, neither DH nor I are enormously attractive. We're both plain and slightly awkward looking. That said, I'm the more plain and awkward one. I don't actually care though. It really isn't about what we look like.

CalamitouslyWrong · 23/01/2014 12:54

Flies looks incredibly uncomfortable in that photo. She's probably feeling even less comfortable now the article's out though.

bialystockandbloom · 23/01/2014 12:59

I have read and re-read and still cannot understand how that first bloke can spend "hours preening himself". He is bald so other than shaving and possibly moistering, what tf else can he do? Spend an hour plucking his eyebrows? Confused

CalamitouslyWrong · 23/01/2014 13:04

He'll be waxing stuff.

Beeyump · 23/01/2014 13:11

The mind boggles Shock

bialystockandbloom · 23/01/2014 13:28

"Waxing stuff" Oh jeez.

HelloBoys · 23/01/2014 13:42

I am pretty (have been told very) - BUT I don't see it and to be honest it can be a disadvantage (get comments from behind my back from work bullies 'HelloBoys is very pretty etc'.) but in a catty way.

In fact with no makeup on I look better but I put makeup on to look better. I think I have a big nose but I have good skin for my age (genes) but I have small features. I am envious (gosh that sounds horrid) of women who are either naturally blonde (I'm an ash blonde) or are dark and exotic looking (dark hair dark eyes).

My current boyfriend is good looking in a boyish way but he's put on weight - he looks a bit like John Malkovitch so he's been told... in photos of him he'd look better if he lost a stone or so but that's his business.

Ex-BF was VERY good looking but a total arse. he was just verging on pretty.

HelloBoys · 23/01/2014 13:43

oh and BF's mates think I'm to pretty for him but I don't care. the chemistry is there and I'm in love. Grin

Sallystyle · 23/01/2014 16:22

My husband. I have two photos on my profile actually.

He thinks I am but I really aren't.

Longdistance · 23/01/2014 16:33

I'm better looking than my dh, and he'd agree.

He plays rugby, and looks like he's had a fight with a bus. Broken his nose several times, cuts all over his face, and currently has a black eye from a bump he got on his head.

I think I married a rhino.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 23/01/2014 16:40

Haven't clicked your link yet but just had to say that sounds like a classic Mr and Mrs question - can just see those sparkly pink and blue paddles - and one of each colour going up, followed by frowns at each other from behind the screen.

NinjaPenguin · 23/01/2014 16:41

Classically = me. I have done modelling (as an adult) and I am their idea of it, which isn't what I would consider good looking necessarily. DP is more striking and noticeable/memorable, and I think he is good looking in a kind of mannish way Confused

MonsterMunchMe · 23/01/2014 16:48

Me without a doubt. I can't stand vain men and DP is very much a man type man iykwim.

The first guy - he must be on glue! His wife is far far far more attractive, she has a beautiful face.

And the second couple are just so average.

Very strange people to pick for the article, unless it's all a massive wind up

Cocolepew · 23/01/2014 17:29

That article is hilarious. Bloke number one is punching well above his weight. They all must have magic mirrors.

I'd say me and DH are equal.
