Wedge trainers - over?? Yay or nay?

I have liked the look of wedge trainers for ages and the comfort with style factor really appeals. Most of my time I am a SAHM so try to dress down. (My natural state is overdressed! I love dressing to go out, always have full make-up on and try to keep my hair nice - I'm not great at casual)

So the question I have for you S&B ladies is this; have wedge trainers had their day or have they become a modern classic/staple? I really can't justify Marant prices for something I am so unsure about but am considering these - are they the sort of item that would make you look and think 'oh, SO last year'??

Note: I do realise some people will detest them and lots of people will tell me not to worry what is in fashion and to wear what I like but I do mind about fashion without being slavish to it IYSWIM.

If I was buying any it'd be those taupe/prune ones (if they were in my size and you hadn't snapped them up OP!) I love the colour and that's a good price for genuine Ash.

oh burnished, I love your Tom Ford bag….

I have (since the impulse purchase) looked around and really can't beat that price. Also, I would have naturally chosen black but really like the colour I have chosen.

Round of applause for MsWinnieBaygo
