7/8 or cropped trews for the under-endowed of legs

So I am normally a dress or skirt gal. But have managed to ditch a stone and it seems like the fashion tide is turning agin the dress so trews it is then. where do I get these fabled 7/8 length trousers. Bear in mind that I have 11 mo twins, a journey to work on the tube with a substantial walk at each end so they need to be washable and have a bit of substance. Am a size 10(ish) with a decent set of thighs and zero arse.

Sorry meant to add I am a short arse - 5'3" so regular crops are full length on me! Does it have to be boden? I find I have room for several stomachs I their stuff (and I have plenty of twin skin so god knows who they are actually and at!

Mine are from Cos and the White Company. BUT they are hard to wear at this time of year, because need bare ankles and then ballet shoes or heels. Can't do socks!

FreeButtonBee · 18/01/2014 22:13

Yes, Remus, that's always an issue. I normally go for the box of shoes under the desk approach and wear trainers or boots to work.

Are the white co ones good then? Am a bit loath to waste money on delivery (as chances off taking the twosome to sloane square to try on trousers is slim to none! And have about zero child care for the next few weeks. Damn you babies!

River island do amazing cigarette trousers. I work in a smart corporate environment and they are my secret cheaply trousers that look super smart. And cos its essentially a younger woman's shop, they tend to be a bit more petite, so the length would probably be good for you. They do all manner of plain colours and funky prints too. www.riverisland.com/women/trousers--leggings/slim-trousers/Black-cigarette-pants-651542

FoxyHarlow123 · 19/01/2014 08:09

Cheapy, not cheaply.

sugar4eva · 19/01/2014 12:11

Foxy those trousers look fab! Says dry clean only : do u get away with washing yours? ..

DrNick · 19/01/2014 12:23

gap gap gap

DrNick · 19/01/2014 12:25

my style solution are close fitting LOW ankle boots with trainer socks and a flash of ankle

DrNick · 19/01/2014 12:29

I like the blue RI ones

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/01/2014 12:40

M&S had YELLOW ones yesterday. Dp was horrified. They are truly hideous, but I found myself strangely drawn to them! They had yellow shorts too. :)

DrNick · 19/01/2014 13:25

I saw jaunty men

DrNick · 19/01/2014 13:25

Mdns

DrNick · 19/01/2014 13:25

DrNick · 19/01/2014 13:25

Phone. Men's trousers in yellow.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/01/2014 13:44

It is dp's birthday soon - shall I buy them for him? Grin

FoxyHarlow123 · 19/01/2014 18:40

Sugar, does it really? Can't believe RI say dry clean only! I chuck all my RI pants in the wash - I'm no domestic goddess and it wouldn't even occur to me to read the label!! They've all washed brilliantly.

FoxyHarlow123 · 19/01/2014 18:41

I saw those yellow m & s trousers. Nearly tried them on! I love bright trousers but I wasn't sure about the slightly pleated waist band.

FreeButtonBee · 19/01/2014 18:54

Not quite sure the world is ready for mein yellow trousers...

foxy RI ones look interesting. Good to hear they wash fine. There is little chance of dry cleaning!

And drNick am abit underwhelmed by gap recently but prob worth a look for basics I s'pose

Next have a few nice pairs that I'm intending to try on. They come in petite versions if the leg is too long.

Twinkle1984 · 19/01/2014 19:04

I've had great ones from Uniqlo but they are not in stock now I hope they come back in Spring!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/01/2014 19:07

I find the Gap ones pick up every bit of fluff within a five mile radius.

DrNick · 19/01/2014 20:12

you and your fluff Remus - where DO you work?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/01/2014 20:16

Fluff School, Fluff Street, Fluffsville.

Obviously.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/01/2014 20:17

None of my other trews do this, only Gap ones.

DrNick · 19/01/2014 20:22

you are weird.
