Hi

I have £25 voucher to spend in JL, I was thinking of getting a make up treat for myself - any recommendations?

I have most things so had either a good primer or loose powder in mind.

I'm going there later so quick!!!

A nice mineral foundation?

Try the mac primer!

Do JL sell mac?

Anyone tried the Clinique primer?

Don't know if they sell MAC, but they do sell Laura Mercier and that primer is good too. I think Laura Mercier also sells some kind of illuminating powder, which is supposed to be good, but I've not used that before.

I'd definitely go for a Laura Mercier primer or tinted foundation.

The Burberry lip velvet lipsticks are amazing and come in some beautiful colours.

Lauder does a good primer. I'd personally get primer before powder as it makes such a difference to the look and longevity of your make-up.
I agree with Always re Burberry lippie, especially if you want to look naturally ...er ... lippish. They are fabulous.

Benefit Porefessional.

I don't know any John Lewis stores that sell Mac, but they do sell Bobbi Brown, purveyors of beautiful, ultra long lasting metallic cream eyeshadow (Galaxy and Antique gold are particularly amazing shades IMHO.) I think they are about £20, but I wear mine pretty much every day and one lasts at least 8 months. Plus you'd have £5 left for maybe a little chocolates treat from the Hotel Chocolat concession Wink.

Yes, I have tried the Clinique primer and I love love love it. I tried it because my face was looking very tired and drawn under my make up at the end of the day, plus my make up seemed to kind of disappear. Just a little bit of the primer each morning makes a massive difference, I can't quite believe how much difference one product can make. I use the one in the pink tube which adds a bit of...well, maybe a bit of bloom I suppose, but there are lots of different colours depending on what your issue is. Would highly recommend. I find, with daily use, my first tube lasted around 3 months.
