I've heard of pile cream being put on the face but can't remember what for

Jaffacakesallround · 17/01/2014 19:25

Christ- no! What the heck are you trying to do to yourself?
If you are talking about Ovestin or other oestrogen creams that are meant for your fanjo, then no.

Not neat, added daintily to moisturiser so, literally a couple drops....I've aged dramatically in the last five years...it's just occurred to me I might be perimenopausal....and there's gotta be an upside

who's supplied what to you? which product are you talking about?
The answer is still no.
I don't know of any product that you could measure out in 'drops'- what do you mean?

FergusSingsTheBlues · 17/01/2014 21:05

I've read a few bits and pieces, a couple of studies.

I'm curious.

If you want to use HRT at all then you have to see a doctor and have it prescribed- you can't buy it- do you know that?

It comes with very specific instruction about where to apply it. Your face is not one of those areas.

It doesn't make wrinkles disappear by using it on your face. That's a bit like trying to say sugar makes you fat, so rub it on your skin if you want to gain weight.

If you need HRT for medical reasons see your dr.

Jaffacakesallround · 17/01/2014 21:17

That study you linked to is 20 years old now, and premarin was one of the types of HRT used in the WHI trials and it's now considered one of the least safe types of HRT , - it's made from mares' urine.

The piles cream is for the bags under your eyes. It shrinks the bags allegedly.

Weelady77 · 17/01/2014 21:52

I knew it was something Wink

I used it as face cream too, it's brilliant

Lovingthegrungerevival · 10/04/2024 15:30

Yes - M4. Not sure if it's available in the UK though.
