Going grey but hair is in shite condition - what can I do?

I have got thick curly/frizzy hair and it is super-dry at the ends (where is was previously dyed). I'd love to get highlights/lowlights to blend in the grey with my brown hair but I already have crunchy bits at the end of my hair. I can't cut any as it is slow to grow and I don't suit shorter hair. Any ideas? What if I got a keratase treatment? Would that make it good condition enough to get some colouring?

I would leave it on the colouring front. Coconut oil treatment is supposed to be really good -esp on curly hair. Maybe look into having a layered cut to get rid of some of the dye but one that still let's you feel you have enough length.

Go to town with the conditioning, anything you can get your hands on. If it's as dry as you say it will drink it up instead of looking greasy. Use a thick mask type, rinse out conditioner the sort that comes in tubs rather than bottles, after shampooing. Then towel dry & add a bit of Argan oil followed by a leave in conditioner. Once dry run a little serum through it.
I know it sounds a lot but when my hair is going through a parched phase I find this brings the shine back.
